Why Does a Virgin Cotton Top Layer Matter?

The layer that touches your skin all day deserves the most attention. Here's what "virgin cotton" means and why we chose it.
Of all the layers in a pad, the top one matters most. It's the one touching your most sensitive skin for hours, through school, work, travel and sleep.
What "virgin cotton" means
Virgin cotton is fresh cotton fibre that hasn't been recycled or reprocessed. It's soft, breathable and gentle, which is why we chose a 100% virgin cotton top layer for our pad.
What it does for you
- Stays fresh and dry, so you don't feel damp hours after putting it on.
- Lets clots pass through easily instead of sitting on the surface.
- Feels soft against skin, which means less friction and less chance of rashes.
Comfort isn't a luxury on your period. It's the whole point.
Paired with 200+ perforations and a breathable back layer, the cotton top is the first of seven layers working together, so you can forget you're wearing a pad at all.
